The underwater world hosts a remarkable variety of life. The middle of summer is the warmest season of the year. The remarkable underwater world of the Barents Sea can be seen in all its beauty. Underwater encounters with huge King crabs, underwater kelp forests, steep rocks covered with anemones, bird colonies and the midnight sun all await you.
You will see remote islands and distant shores.
Programme
Approximate program: Day 1
Transport : Option 1: Air: Moscow - Murmansk - Moscow = 2 hours; Murmansk - Kartesh transfer = 3-5 hours. Option 2: Rail: Moscow - Murmansk - Moscow; journey one way = 36 hours; transfer to Kartesh = 3-5 hours (with Option 2 departure is one day earlier) Day 2
Check-dive in the Dalniye Zelentsy Bay. This shallow bay (up to 20 metres deep), secluded from crosswinds includes a group of small islands.
Many steep walls; crabs; scallops; kelp forests; starfishes of various forms and colour Day 3
Red Bay (Guba Krasnaya)
A picturesque underwater landscape: canyons, caves and kelp forests inhabited by huge King crabs. Day 4
Kekurskaya Bay and Triashina Bay
Steep cliffs continue as a submarine ridge with terraces and huge boulders Day 5
The Gavrilov Islands
Diving in the Dalniye Zelentsy area at the mouth of the bay. Return to the place of liveaboard jetty; departure to Murmansk. Day 6
Return to Murmansk; departure to Moscow by air or rail (by rail the return to Moscow is one day later).
